Welcome to the Procyon Herald, where the news is all but approved!
Publishing out of our brand-spanking new offices located in the maintenance shed outside Freeport 9, we managed to catch up with 4th Reich spokesman Otto, where we asked him to comment on his clan’s recent victory…
“Ja, das battle is good,” he declared, “but vhy has you all moved to Theta, ja? Do you not like ze good Rheinland lager, ja?”
(We had to agree, Rheinland lagers are indeed some of the best.)
The Rheinlander went on to extend a gracious offer, stating: “Ze Procyon Herald is still more zan velcome to continue zeir operations on das luxurious Freeport 5, ja?”
We’ll see. Maintenance sheds do have their advantages, after all. For example, if you ever need a mop, you don’t need to look very far. And also…well, that’s about it really.
On the heels of the 4th Reich’s nail-biting victory in Omega-41, Admiral Anubis, who participated in the attack, launched a PR campaign across the Neural Net in the hopes of recruiting new pilots to his, er…PR. The “Phantom Regiment” is new only to Procyon, having a history which stretches back several years, and across several game platforms. Having declared themselves a ‘lawful’ clan, Herald correspondents were eager to hear LPI’s Commissioner Gordon’s view on the new arrivals. Gordon, true to form, offered his usual insightful comments:
“WoW? What the hell is a WoW??”
Elsewhere in the galaxy, Herald reporters managed to uncover this breaking story:
Peacekeeper is not – we repeat: NOT – Nedracko. (We know that many of you have been wondering.)
In other news, your dedicated server Admins have been hard at work, implementing many new additions to the old Procyon ‘hood to enhance the server experience for everyone. Although clan bases etc. remain still on the horizon, the clan database itself has been completely overhauled, with the emphasis being on linking the clan pages of the website as closely as possible to the actual “in-game” server. For example, players currently on the server will now have their affiliated clan visible on the Server Status page.
More is coming, but for the time being, clan leaders are encouraged to ‘do their part’ by at least completing the clan descriptions on their respective clan pages. (Let us know who you are, basically. It helps other clans determine whether or not they should shoot to kill.)
That’s it for this issue. Remember kids – never eat drugs you find on the floor. For the Herald, this is Ravenwood, signing off.
