 | Server Rules | | | Name: 24/7 Procyon Dedicated Address: Proc.no-ip.org
The rules are all simple, and for the most part anyone with a shred of common sense will have no problems abiding by them:
- Cheats/Mods are not allowed ('skins' and similar purely graphical client side modifications being the only exception) and will result in an immediate and permanent ban. Graphical mods are the only exception to this rule, any other modification will result in a ban - no matter how minor you may consider it to be. Exploitation of in-game bugs/glitches are likewise considered cheats, no matter how minor they may appear to be.
- Discussion regarding cheats/mods (including, but not limited to admissions of modding on other servers, instructions on how to modify INI files, etc) are not allowed and will not be tolerated.
- Server Advertisements: Don't advertise other servers, either on the actual server, or in the forums. Doing so will result in a ban.
- Racist remarks will result in a warning, followed by a ban. Racist player names will be banned immediately.
- Exploiting F1/select new character during PvP will result in warnings, followed by a ban if it is consistantly abused. If you don't want to fight, go into cruise and run away or log off from the server until your attacker has left.
- Impersonating other players and/or admins will result in being banned.
- Unauthorized use of any clan's tags will result in a ban depending on the circumstances.
- Utilization of clever text-related tricks to make your name appear identical to another player's name will result in a ban, unless the action is authorized for whatever reason by the original owner of the name. This applies to clan tags and associated things, as well.
Server policies:
- Swearing: Apart from things that are blatantly racist, Procyon does not have any rules regarding swearing. If you do not want to hear what someone says, you are free to use the /ignore command in game.
- Regeneration: There are no rules against the use of nanobots or shield batteries in player vs player combat, though many players will react with extreme hostility toward their use. Note however that nanobot and shield battery functionality may occasionally be disabled by the server during system battles, and/or during certain types of events.
- Dock camping: There are no rules in place against dock camping, although the server is configured to prevent players from being damaged until they have gained control of their ship. Like with nanobots and shield batteries, many players react with universal hostility toward players known to engage in dock camping.
